Our client is seeking an Audit Services Manager to join their Lakewood, NJ team. Recognized as a top workplace for 15 years, they offer a collaborative environment focused on professional growth and work-life balance, serving clients across diverse industries.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee audit, review, and compilation engagements for privately held companies.
- Lead and mentor staff and senior accountants, fostering technical expertise and professional development.
- Perform and review agreed-upon procedures and lead special projects, such as due diligence and acquisitions.
- Evaluate internal controls, identifying risks and recommending improvements to accounting processes.
- Ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements and high-quality service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
- Travel to client sites as needed for fieldwork and client engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- CPA certification (required).
- Minimum of 5–7 years of public accounting audit experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and assurance standards.
- Long-term care/skilled nursing audit experience is a plus but not required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) and audit software.
- New Jersey residency required.
